2. Purpose and acceptance
These terms and conditions govern the use of this website and the purchase of the courses, packs and training services that Novacadèmia offers through it (the “Services”). By using the website you become a user and accept these terms. To purchase any Service you must expressly accept them before completing your order or enrolment.
Where a course has its own enrolment conditions (for example, those accepted in the enrolment forms for each academic year), those conditions take precedence, and these terms apply to anything they do not cover.
3. Use of the website
You agree to use the website lawfully and responsibly, not to introduce viruses or malicious code, not to attempt to access restricted areas, and not to use its content for purposes contrary to the law or to these terms. Novacadèmia may modify, suspend or withdraw the website’s content and Services without prior notice.
4. User account
Some features may require you to create an account. You must provide accurate, up-to-date information, keep your password confidential, and you are responsible for all activity carried out with your account. Please tell us about any unauthorised use. Minors may only purchase Services through their parent or legal guardian.
5. Purchasing the Services
The information for each Service (content, format, duration, timetable, location and price) is shown on its page. To purchase, select the Service and its options, add it to the basket, enter your billing details, accept these terms and confirm the order by paying.
Once payment is received, we will send an order confirmation to the email address you provided, which serves as proof of purchase. The contract is concluded in Catalan or Spanish. Novacadèmia keeps the electronic order record, which you can request by email.
The start of each course or group may depend on a minimum number of students and on availability. If a course cannot go ahead, Novacadèmia will inform you and offer an alternative or a full refund of the amount paid.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euros and include any applicable taxes. The price that applies is the one in force when the order is placed.
Payment is made online by bank card or Bizum through the secure Redsys payment gateway. Novacadèmia has no access to your card details. If payment is declined or not completed, the order is not confirmed.
7. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have 14 calendar days from the date of purchase to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason, under Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users). To do so, notify us at info@novacademia.com or in writing at the address in section 1, stating your name, the order and your decision to withdraw. A model withdrawal form is available on request.
We will refund the amount paid within 14 days of your notice, using the same payment method.
If you expressly ask for the Service to start during the withdrawal period, you will pay a proportionate amount for the part of the Service already provided. Once the Service has been fully provided, the right of withdrawal no longer applies.
8. Cancellations, withdrawals from a course and changes
After the withdrawal period, leaving a course, changing group or timetable, and making up missed classes are governed by the enrolment conditions of the relevant course. Hour packs are valid for the period stated on their page. For any request, please contact us by email.
9. Student obligations
Students agree to respect the school’s rules, the teachers and other students, and to make proper use of the facilities and materials. Novacadèmia may suspend access to a Service in the event of a serious breach, after informing the student or their legal guardian.
10. Intellectual and industrial property
All content on the website and Novacadèmia’s own teaching materials (texts, images, logos, videos, designs and software) belong to Novacadèmia or to third parties who have authorised their use. They may not be reproduced, distributed, publicly communicated or modified without express permission, except for personal use linked to the Service purchased. Cambridge English and its trademarks belong to their respective owners.
11. Liability
Novacadèmia works to keep the website running properly but does not guarantee that it will be free of interruptions or errors, and is not liable for damage resulting from misuse of the website, force majeure, or the content of linked third-party websites. Official exam results depend on each student’s performance and are not guaranteed by purchasing the Services.
12. Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD). Full details are available in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
Novacadèmia may change these terms. Changes apply to purchases made after they are published on this page.
14. Customer service and complaints
For any question, complaint or claim, write to info@novacademia.com or visit our school. We will reply as soon as possible and always within the time limits set by law. Official complaint forms are available to consumers.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. In the event of a dispute, the parties submit to the courts that have jurisdiction under the law. If you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence will have jurisdiction.
