At the 2026 University Entrance Exams (PAU), more than 45,000 students<\/strong> have registered, marking the fifth consecutive record-breaking year in enrolments<\/strong>. This year’s examination session introduces two new features<\/strong>. On the one hand, the use of electronic device detectors<\/strong>, which will prevent the use of mobile phones, smartwatches or digital pens; and on the other hand, a pilot programme with IdCAT M\u00f2bil in 19 secondary schools that have implemented a secure and easy-to-use digital system, to facilitate university admission procedures<\/strong>.<\/p>

The PAU exams are a very important moment for young people, as they mark entry into university and the academic future they wish to pursue<\/strong>. It is common that before the exams students experience fears such as not having the full syllabus prepared, feeling stressed or being unsure about which degree to choose. During the exams, nerves, the fear of going blank or time management can create insecurity, and once they are over, concern about results and uncertainty about admission cut-off marks are very common feelings. All of this is part of the process<\/strong> and is shared by most students.<\/p>

Based on our experience as a specialised academic support centre<\/strong>, we know that to face this challenge more calmly it is essential to organise with a realistic schedule, use clear materials<\/strong>, balance study and rest<\/strong>, and take care of emotional well-being with breaks, breathing techniques and methods such as the Pomodoro Technique, and above all, trust in the work done<\/strong> during the course.<\/p>
